• On Saturday, February 27, 2010 (Snow Date: Saturday, March 13, 2010) from 9am to 1pm there will be a special forum entitled "Keeping Pace With Energy Options: A Briefing on New Energy Efficiency and Alternative Energy Initiatives and Fundig Strategies for Municipalities."  To register for this event please go to www.surveymonkey.com/s/K97DXYP.  Pre-registration is strongly encouraged to facilitate morning check in.  The event is free, however tax-deductible donations are welcome (checks should be made payable to League of Women Voters Education Fund).  For more information and a full agenda for the program, please click on this link.
• On Thursday, April 15, 2010 Marist College, in support of the sustainability efforts across campus and in the curriculum, will sponsor a day-long series of events, including workshops, panel discussions, films, exhibits, lectures, and keynote speakers.  The theme of the day's program is "SUSTAINABLE LIVING FOR A SMALL PLANET."  Dr. William Schlesinger, President of the Cary Institute of Ecosystem Studies will be the featured keynote speaker.
