Learning science at Marist is characterized by frequent and stimulating interactions between students and faculty. The knowledgeable and enthusiastic faculty challenge students in small classes to be problem solvers and to be curious about the world around them. Students participate in field trips in the beautiful Hudson Valley region, intern at local hospitals and clinical sites, and perform original research in state of the art laboratories.
We are extremely proud of the exceptional achievements of our students. Since 2000 about 80% of applicants were successfully admitted to medical or other health profession schools. Many of our students continue to PhD programs at prestigious research institutions including Cornell, Yale, and Columbia University often with full scholarships. Our Medical Laboratory Science department boasts 100% employment of their students since 1985. Since 2006 three of our students have been awarded Goldwater Scholarships (the most prestigious scholarship for science, mathematics and engineering in the country) and one student was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship.
