Chemistry, Biochemistry & Physics

Chemistry, the central science, deals with the fundamental properties of substances and the transformations they undergo. Biochemistry links chemistry to life processes. Together, these laboratory sciences explain much of what goes on around and inside you, and form the foundation for many industries and advances in health care.

Marist offers degrees in Chemistry and Biochemistry, but not in Physics. We offer Physics courses in support of students majoring in other disciplines.  Find more information about our degree programs, the chemistry minor, and preparation for medical school or other schools of the health professions here.
