Schedule for Incoming Traditional Undergraduate Freshmen/Transfer Students - Spring 2010 & Fall 2010

January 1, 2010 2010-2011 FAFSA
 

To be considered for financial aid from the College, the state or federal government, a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) must be filed. The form may be completed online at www.fafsa.gov This form is also available in the high school guidance counselor's office or from the Office of Student Financial Services. Complete this form as soon as possible, beginning January 1st. The preferred deadline for completion is February 16th. The Marist College school code is 002765 and must be listed on the application.

January 25, 2010 Last day to receive Full tuition refund for Spring 2010
February 8, 2010 Last day to receive half tuition refund for Spring 2010
February 16, 2010 Preferred deadline for completion of 2010-2011 FAFSA
March 31, 2010 Award Letter
  Financial aid award packages will be mailed, provided we have received the FAFSA results from the Federal Government. The student will also be sent an email to access their financial aid award package online.
April 10 - 11, 2010 Open House
  OFFICE OF STUDENT FINANCIAL SERVICES OPEN FROM 10AM - 4PM.
  Student Financial Services staff will be available to assist you with any financial aid matters or concerns you may have.
April 21, 2010 Student Employment Appreciation Day
  Festivities will begin at 11:30am and end at 1:30pm.
  Student Financial Services staff will be available to assist you with any financial aid matters or concerns you may have. Lunch will be served in the Cabaret and activities are outside on the campus green.
May 1, 2010 Verification Process Requirements
  Marist College verifies information submitted on the FAFSA for all deposited freshmen students. The Marist Application for Financial Aid must be completed and returned to our office with copies of the 2008 parent's and student's federal tax returns and W-2 forms. The application is available through Student Financial Services by clicking on Award Information/Student Requirements or by clicking on Forms. This information should be sent to our office no later than June 15, 2010.
May 15, 2010 100% Verification Of Student Files Begins
  The Student Financial Services Site, will enable you to verify requirements and missing information and complete all necessary documentation by clicking on Award Information/Student Requirements. (This process requires a student's Marist account).
June 1, 2010 Loan Process Begins
  Your loan will be processed for the amount indicated on your award letter. You will then be required to complete the MPN and entrance counseling online at Student Financial Services under the Types of Financial Aid for Loans.
July 6, 2010 Fall 2010 Tuition Statements will be mailed this week. *TENTATIVE*

REMINDER: Traditional returning undergraduate students enrolled in eBill With "Other Payers" will not receive a paper bill. They will be sent electronically only! Thank you for supporting Marist's "go green" initiative!
