Interactive Media Specialization

The Interactive Media/Game Studies Concentration emphasizes the analysis, critique, design and production of multimedia communication and video games. Drawing on the School of Communication and Arts' wide array of expertise in art, communication theory, graphics design, and media production, this concentration prepares students to create content for the digital and Internet technologies that shape the commerce and culture of the 21st century.

The program provides students with the opportunity to gain practical skills in interactive media and game design and project management, while also taking courses in the theoretical and social assessment of digital communication and the Internet.

Communication Foundation Courses: The following four courses are taken by ALL Communication majors during the first and second year at Marist.

The descriptions of each of these courses can be found in the Marist College Catalog and in the appendix to this document. Remember that course titles alone cannot tell you what you need to know about these courses. Read these descriptions carefully. They will give you insight into what lies ahead.
