Over 400 courses in a variety of fields and levels are available for students to select from. Both classroom and studio-based courses are enhanced by the unrivalled opportunities that Florence offers for investigating the history and cultural heritage of Italy in galleries, palaces, gardens, churches and museums.
The Marist-LdM academic experience follows the traditional U.S. university format of two semesters each year, with the average student taking between 12-16 credits each semester (4-5 courses each semester). Each semester Marist-LdM offers students a variety of courses to choose from.

Marist-LdM has developed a complete course catalog that details the courses offered at Lorenzo de' Medici and the Marist equivalents for each of these courses. This course catalog also includes descriptions for each of the 400+ courses offered as part of Marist-LdM Programs.
Study abroad students may choose classes based on this course catalog and the list of semester offerings. Students are encouraged to speak with their academic and study abroad advisors regarding their course selections. Visiting students are encouraged to seek preapproval of all coursework prior to arrival in Florence.
The Bachelor's Degree Program offers majors in seven disciplines for students who wish to persue a four year degree in Florence. These disciplines are: Art History, Conservation Studies/Restoration, Digital Media, Interior Design, Fashion Design, Studio Art (B.A.) and Studio Art (B.S.). Students enrolled in the Bachelor's Degree Program will complete courses that fill a required sequence. Courses are selected based on the audit requirements for their degree and will be approved by the student's academic advisor.
The Certificate in Fine Arts is a one year program at the undergraduate level for students seeking an introduction to studio art and art history.
The Graduate Program in Museum Studies is a one year Master of Arts degree.
